Cuba 1899 - Sc 224 Plate Block of 6. An unused, original gum, plate block of 6 of the 3 cents Andrew Jackson stamp overprinted for use in Cuba after the end of the Spanish-American War. This is Bureau of Engraving and Printing Plate Number 447. As an added bonus, the lower middle stamp is the "period between the B and A of Cuba" variety. This block has been hinged and there are six full to partial hinge remnants that can be seen in the scan of the gum side that is included below. Very scarce item.
